I kinda expected this.

Playing with Pakistan, International Only, on ICC2006 (not Ashes) and at the start of season 2008 the game crashes.

i know I fixed this before but its not working.

When I try to get the update, the error is like "Cheksum(1) failed" or something, so I hope someone can help me please, thanks.

"Checksum failed" normally means that the server is down. How often have you been trying to get on the internet within the game?

Checksum(1) failed appears after you've downloaded the patch and it tries to install it. Don't think there's anything wrong with the server.

I mean the server the patch is downloaded from has failed for some reason. I have had this problem with downloading updates for my spyware tool. It told me that the 'checksum error' is caused by a problem with the server. Either by it being too busy or not working.

And I don't think someone sending you a patched .exe is a good idea.

I wouldn't guess it would be too busy...this is ICC06. They may have taken it down because its the obsolete game?

Well, even in late 06, early 07 this happened so I don't know what's going on.

What's wrong with getting patched .exe?

Checksum (1) usually means you downloaded a No-CD crack of some sort... :p

Or atleast that used to be the old meaning, since the EXE file wouldn't match the one the patch file was reading, so you have a different EXE file.

Just reinstall the game, and your save files should still be there. Then update it.

I would think that there would be other files changed in the patch? I dunno.

Nope reinstalling doesn't work.

What if I do have NO-cd? I fixed it before...

Checksum means that you have changed any of the files around since installing the game. This could be anything. The only way to install the patch is to restore these files to their original state. Reinstalling the game would fix this.
