Geraint Jones

A: Stuart Law. He is Australian. It doesn't matter if he has qualified to be English now, he is an Australian. And he hasn't played Test Cricket for many years.....
(Have you ever heard of any captain who has been dropped for a man who used to play with the guys he is being put up against???)

B: Anderson for Simon Jones???????? If anyone it would be Chris Tremlett, and I would drop Hoggard, except he can swing a new ball.

Hoggard wont be dropped as he took 32 wickets in RSA, fantastic bowler when on top of his game.

vaughn wont get dropped after his century for yorkshire looks like his pratice sessions are working it should be that he opens the innings (that is where he scored his 100) and trescothick or strauss 3rd in the order becaue then they wont have to play to the new ball which has troubled them both

Not that i've seen the dismissal but a good delivery can defeat any batsmen.

If people are criticising Jones what about Gilly he dropped 1 and scored 39 runs in total :D

:D = Sarcasm

in the second innings jones played a riciculous shot

I think he will play in the entire ashes.England havent had any other keeper for a while. So they'll stick with him.Maybe T'cothick should keep.

lol, he did in the 3rd natwest challenge match when harmison bowled a wide that went extremely wide when opening the bowling

HAHA.u poms r always goin on bout how u can beat us, now ur arguin bout swappin ur whole team about, lol, and the ironic part, u wanna bring in a retired aussie test batsmen. u guys r desperate.

the only change the aussies may make is dizzy and kasper, and i still rekon dizz will get in, coz he bowled well last night. lol, thanx for the ashes guys, u can try en get em agen when u cum to aussie. tho u may wanna bring ur whole county cricket circuit with u, coz the way u guys talk uv got about 100 options to play. hmmmm

Oh dear! I can't bear to watch those highlights Geraint Jones either needs to get some big scores or he has to take every catch that comes his way, man I hope he does...

Well England have quite a few able keeper-batsman who can take Gera's spot in the team. But I feel Gera is the best option, and has scored centuries in the top level not so long ago and also taken some really good catches.
Even the best keepers have off-days, and Lords was not his best test match.

He only dropped 2 catches at Lords. Read is the best keeper but can't bat. All keepers around the world admit that England is the hardest place to keep due to the swing after the batsmen. Took a couple of decent takes today. Missed one that i can think off. But he's learning under Russell so he'll improve.

That's why Darren Berry couldn't ever make the test team for Australia because simply: he couldn't bat very well. :(
I regard Berry as Australia's best ever glovemen.
