I love cricket.
I think it's entirely reasonable to suggest that the game might not be for him - I quite like motor racing but something like GTR Evo isn't for me... I'd play it now and again for a challenge but something a bit more wacky like Next Car Game is more my cup of tea for racers usually whereas when it comes to cricket/football/tennis/snooker I prefer the games to be as realistic and challenging as possible.I don't get some of the snarky comments at him to be honest. Terry must like cricket to even have picked this game up to be fair, and he's having a few problems getting into it. He needs constructive advice, not people telling him the game might not be for him. That kind of suggestion has never worked before and it won't work here.
There has been plenty of sound advice given in this thread and people saying what makes the game enjoyable to them - if the advice isn't helping and he just doesn't get enjoyment in the same way as a lot of us do, then the game simply not being compatible with what he likes is a distinct possibility.I don't think it's useful at all. If all he needs is proper advice to help him 'get it' then being told the game isn't for him is not useful in the slightest. It's about as useful as not making the comment at all.
Totally agree with this for sure....Oh god... The dude doesn't enjoy the game, who cares? He's an anomolie. I fully don't begrudge anyone who's not into the game and not waxing lyrical about how terrible it is or scripted randomness. He's admitted he just doesn't get it, so it's a totally reasonable comment to suggest that the game simply isn't for him. To suggest a horse racing game is more immersive than the best cricket game we've ever had isn't bordering on the ridiculous, it is ridiculous. He just doesn't get it, simple as that. He'd be one of not many.
Ah u beat me to it... Nonetheless, it may very well be true...And horse racing? This is getting ridiculous.

No-one is right and no-one is wrong: I've never understood why people can get so offended when someone disagrees with them!
I'm with you on that, I was totally underwhelmed with the ridiculously laborious missions and I didn't bother finishing the game. Between GTA and the thoroughly, continuously underwhelming Assassins Creed games in think it's totally okay for some games just to not be "right" for some people. There's plenty of folks who love those games, just didn't inspire me in any way, certainly not to the same levels of incredible like DBC14.
