Being a Gujju myself, this is going to be my secondary team to support. I still can't get around the fact that Shreyas is going to KKR otherwise would've supported his side. I would continue to support DC though!

I am torn apart whether to have Alzarri Joseph or Lockie in the line-up and I am biased towards Lockie because of his height and the bounce he gets off the surface. Also Lockie being injury prone definitely needs a backup, so in that sense Alzarri can make a really good back-up. Would've really loved to have R Sai Kishore in there but because they lack batting options he misses out to Tewatia.

I think this is a pretty destructive line-up but again has its own problems that it's not reliable when there is batting collapse. Pretty much gives me vibes of an English batting line-up. If only Saha could've replaced a more aggressive keeper. Wade definitely is a great option but the question again is who should sit out?

@NILAYSHAH60 Sai Kishore is capable of holding a bat. He played as a pinch blocker for Tamil Nadu in the 50 over tournament. It would be a shame if he is to sit on the bench yet again after proving beyond doubt that he is arguably the best domestic spinner at the moment. I'd have Rashid at seven and Sai Kishore at eight.

Won't be wise enough to keep out one of the greatest finishers of IPL. This man can turn the game on it's head. Nothing against Wade but he seems more suited to bat at the top when pacers are bowling especially in a huge playing area of that of Ahmedabad.

Since 2015 55 batters has played more than 500 balls in IPL. Miller is 54 and 55 on strike rate and average.

True. And Sai Kishore is a fantastic PowerPlay bowler and from what I've read of him, he can make the ball talk even on slightly placid pitches. All this made it very frustrating that he got such a raw deal when with CSK, just because Jadeja existed in CSK (even though Jaddu's bowling form has been on a chronic wane in recent years).

Hope Sai Kishore gets his proper due with Gujarat.
