Help Needed For Running Games

I have brought a new IBM pc at my home and the problem i am facing is that not a single games on my pc is running properly.When i launch any of my game it gets started but hangs my pc after some time and then the only solution for it is to restart the computer.I have tried all three OS Windows XP,Vista & Seven but yet didn't got the solution for that.Still the problem is same.Any help in this case will be appreciated.
