Help wiv game pad

Hey all. i have two microsoft game pads which i wanted to use with my mates tomoro night. one of them is in the joystick port on the back of my comp and works fine, and as we only have one port, i put the other one thru a usb port and adaptor. when i try to install the 2nd game pad it says that the port is being used by the other game controler and that it need to be moved. both pads are the same, Microsoft Sidewinders (auto detect). any ideas on what i can do. would be much apreciated. thanx folks.

If you are using a MS Sidewinder via the game port, you should not have to connect the the second controller into a a usb port via an adapter. If you look at the top portion of the MS Sidewinder game pad, there is a place to actually attach the second controller to the first controller. I have 4 MS Sidewinder gamepads and I can simply daisy chain them this way.
