icc 2002 magpie salary contract edit problem

hey guys im having trouble extending a players contract and reducing his salary for a database im creating. i know changing the stats cause problems, so ive left that alone. but with the contract and the salary, for some reason the changes i make in magpie, dont carry over to actual game. eg i changed a players contract to 10 yrs on magpie, however it stayed as 2 yrs in game. any reason why this is happening... i wud really appreciate ur help as this problem is preventing me completing my database.

Well on the ICC08 you can't make a player's contract longer than 7 years I think, which may be the reason. I dunno if it applies to ICC2002 as well though.
