Good to see Bermuda amongst the qualifiers too; I'd have thought their players would be part of the West Indies...
The West Indies are made up of former Britsh Caribean colonies that are now independent. Bermuda is still a British colony, so isn't part of the West Indies in cricketing terms. Same applies for the Cayman Islands and the Bahamas.

Just caught an image of one of their cricketers and I must say he is probably the fattest cricketer out there :p He will surely have to trim down before the world cup.

That's Dwayne Leverock. He's been pretty effective for them, a bowling average of 17.44 in the tournament, so he might not be as good when he's slimmer!

So did it affect the result, or would Canada have won on wickets remaining?

It would have been a tie.

Wouldn't have affected the final standings though, Canada would still have been 2nd in the group and Namibia would still have been 4th.

Well done to Scotland,Canada,Ireland and especially Bermuda. Ireland and Scotland had the advantage of knowing the conditions, Scotland have been playing in the totesport League, while Ireland have home support.

I have another bad joke.

This is a true story. Last week a cricket ball from the Bodyline series was auctioned off. The auctioner was quoted as saying, " we were bowled over by the amount of bids."

By the way Bahamas is independent, it just isn't much of cricketing group of islands

What about the fifth world cup qualifier ?

Denmark and Namibia have been outed.

Holland and UAE will play each other. The winner moves to the World Cup 2007.
