TV Coverage Of the Tourney

What do you Indian members think of the coverage by Max so far.
I felt that Max are taking this `Cricket weds Entertainment` thing too far.

The Champions Trophy matches are telecasted by a channel called Sony Max! Many people are not satisfied by their coverage!

In my opinion, their telecast isn't too bad, but could be improved! :cool:

The telecast of the matchs is the same worldwide but its the prematch show which seems a bit odd for a tournament of this magnitude.

Wow, I saw some unexpected highlights today. They must have highlights at least of the games they arn't showing live which is cool.

I don't like a lot of the commentators already. I guess I havn't heard a lot though. The aussie and english dudes were kind of boring.

Graphics are good. The camera work and such seemed pretty good.

Prematch show is not good ..... Mandira Bedi knows very little info of cricket ....and she is always talking some foolish stuffs .....and also why that dance show was shown (Jhalak Dikhala Jaa) OMG ...Shweta Salve was also called ...... they have forgot that its cricket and god knows what will happen during World Cup in Extra Innings

yeah i agree dunno how much it cost though looking forward to the Eng Oz game hopefully wont get beaten by too much

I've noticed a significant improvement in picture quality for the India v England game. The picture looks sharper, and it's in widescreen!

Yeah, I noticed that, it really does. However, I think the choice of commentators could have been better in the tournament. The English commentator is Nick Knight, I mean, he has only just started working properly for sky.

That Aussie guy played 7 ODI's. Why can;t they get someone better?

Jeremy Coney does the best pitch reports. If an Indian isn't doing it I think he should.

I quite enjoy many commentators from New Zealand. They are generally unbiased and rather knowledgable and also don't always state the obvious unlike many commentators that do.

Are these commentators on some kind of rotation. Jerry was commentating in the highlights I saw but not today

The thing is SET Max does the honours in India.
For the rest of the teams,its some different channel.

Since the CT is in India,SET Max is producing the feed.
And this feed is passed onto the other countries with their own choice of commentators.

I felt the quality was pretty good.Comparable with Ten and ESS.
Definately better than ruddy Neo and ZEE n DD.

Extraa Innings
Absolutely worthless and crappy.
People who dunno anything regd cricket start talking as if they are the re-incarnations of Sir Donald Bradman,WG Grace etc[no offense to these ppl]

according to me Extraa Innings should only consist of Mandira Bedi ...Navjot Singh Sidhu ....Tony Grieg and Boycott .....just talk about cricket for 1 hour......then it will be good.
