incorrect CD-ROM

Hi All,
I have a laptop just with a single CD-ROM DVD Combo drive, How do I play the game every time I start it says incorrect CD-ROM

do u have the original cd? the original cricket 2004 cd or is it a copy?

I had this problem, unfortunately. Here's how I solved it....

Go to System Properties (Windows Key + Pause Key)
Click the Hardware Tab
Click on Device Manager
Expand the DVD/CD-ROM Drives List
There should be two listed there - one of which does nothing as far as I can see
Disable one of them, restart, re-install, and see if it works
If not, disable the other one, restart, re-install.
Failing that, try re-lettering the drives

Also, if you download Sam's exe, I think you don't need the CD anyhow...

yeah...I have no clue whom I have given my CD ROM, as I can play with the game without the CD using Sam's exe.

I looked at the long way to reconfigure the drives and thought....

Um install Sams exe. No CD needed.

Problem solved.
