I thought they would have played Atkinson instead of Archer. There seems to be an unnatural amount of faith on someone like Archer, who hasnt played proper cricket for the last few years.

The selection choices England make gives me every reason to think India are almost favourites to go onto win this series.

They drop the leading wicket taker of the series, to bring in the most overhyped bowler in the last decade. Their best bowler hasn't even made an appearance in the series yet, (is Atkinson injured??). Woakes shouldn't be anywhere the test side again, but they're forced to pick him because they're going to Lord's and he'll probably get man of the match somehow.

If India's underdone batting lineup needed a chance to find their feet, England are serving it to them on a silver platter.
