These guys (the Indian team) overperformed in the first 2 tests. This is the reality.
Exactly my take of it albeit I would say the first 3 Tests. Like I said earlier, the dominance shown by England in this Test is what my expectations were for the Test series.

It's an innings defeat for sure. Very questionable picks throghout the series by India I would say. Kind of think GG is far from accepting that he made mistakes and thus kept doing the same thing again desperately hoping for a change.

I think key was how England nullified Bumrah which put tremendous pressure on other bowlers. He will not play the 5th Test for sure now, so maybe it won't be a bad idea to shake things up a little.

Probably he isn't a test coach+ didn't expect India to be in such a big transition so soon. GG for limited overs is still our best bet. For tests, I'd have liked India to look at Andy Flower/ Hesson instead.

I would also like India to drop the flat track bully Jaiswal. He has shown zero skill in the last few games and needs a proper rap. The tracks have been decent in England and this guys has gotten out playing erratic shots. Needs to go, sorry!

Agreed. Give Easwaran a chance. He can't be worse than Jaisu.

You can't drop Jaiswal guys he average over 50 in test cricket, he won't be the vinod kambli of this era

Escape with a draw here, then pick Kuldeep in 5th test match and get a win there a 2 all series is a good result

Herculean task achieved for the day by Gill and KL (how good has he been returning to the opener's role after a long hiatus). Realistically speaking though, they would have to take in their stride and start fresh. As the great Rahul Dravid once said his mindset was that (when being unbeaten overnight) he started each day on zero. That would allow him to concentrate hard and not get carried away.

India is essentially 3 down though Pant is likely to come out to bat but we all know he would be a pale shadow of his fit self.

Now that things boil down to the last day once again, the three all-rounders would have a huge role to play tomorrow.

I will lose my mind if Washy bats horridly with the tail.
