Ben Stokes always been an idiot, never a fan of India but its good to see Indian players have some balls for a change.

England haven't faced these traditional test match situations since Stokes and Baz took over. Naturally, there's bound to be a level of frustration setting in. That said, Stokes' should have acted better than the sore loser he is. Imagine if he tried to pull the stunt during the Ashes. Pretty sure Cummins and Co are already strategizing this.

I'm a little disappointed that India didn't kept batting after the twin centuries. It's something you don't see often - a visiting team that is already trailing in the series but still wanted to be out there batting. Usually that is the side which is emotionally and physically drained towards the fag end of the series. But funnily enough it was England who gave that vibe.

Anyway, it makes up for a spicy 5th Test. I just hope India make some sensible changes with the lineup. It's great that we are able to fight back this hard with poor selection choices. Soke of them have been shocking. Makes one wonder what if....

England were really classless yesterday. Very disappointing.

I don't think there's anything wrong with Stokes offering the draw initially, but when India say no that's it. The chirping and pie bowling was just so unsporting and tacky.

I gotta ask to England fans actually like their team? Like the way they've carried on under McCullum and Stokes is just so high, mighty and noble. Yet every time they have something go slightly against them it's like the worlds ended. I remember leading into the sandpaper incident there were quite a few Australians saying how they didn't like the Aussie team much due to over the top aggression and conduct on the field, because it went too far. While its for a different reason, surely England fans must feel the same with this team lol

Its about an 80-20 split for me. 80% of the time they're just a pretty good cricket team. 20% of the time its lads what the fearsome tweak are you thinking

And thats the thing right, if it was just a cricket itself, even as an Aussie I'd sit back and appreciate it. But it's all the nonsense off field and the carry on now with Jadeja and Sundar, it would be difficult to like them even if they weren't poms :laughter:

Well, I like their style of play and commitment to attack, and Joe Root seems a good bloke.

I don’t like their sanctimonious “right way to play”, “sod the draw” etc. attitude. And as I stated above I think their attitude on Sunday was crass, classless and childish. Had I been India I’d have kept them out the full 15 overs and blocked everything unless I could hit it somewhere to make Carse / Archer / Woakes run.

  1. :eng: :bat: Ben Duckett
  2. :eng: :bat: Zak Crawley
  3. :eng: :bat: Ollie Pope :c:
  4. :eng: :bat: Joe Root
  5. :eng: :bat: Harry Brook
  6. :eng: :ar: Jacob Bethell
  7. :eng: :wk: Jamie Smith
  8. :eng: :ar: Chris Woakes
  9. :eng: :bwl: Gus Atkinson
  10. :eng: :ar: Jamie Overton

One wonders if Ben Stokes has played his final home Test.

Or Woakes... Poor lad has his whole career eaten being born in the same era as Anderson. Similar case to Stuart McGill. Incredibly talented only to lose a lot of game time due to a generational talent being at the centre stage.
