Information on Cricket 2005

Man i don't understand why do they have similar features from cricket 2004. Just because they are improving it and fixing bugs and all. I think they are jus doing this game in hurry so they can make money and then they fool us. Just like in cricket 2004 there wasn't some feature like classic match then some other don't kno. EA just do in hurry and make money by fooling us.

Until its finished and you have played it, I would shut up, keep your judgements until you know what your talking about.

Hold your horsies. I am sure it will be a better product. May not be worth the money but it will be a better product. I have changed my mind about it and will definitely buy it. And give yall my reviews. :P

Have you read the press release and the comparison Ste did with the C2004 press release? If not, I suggest you do before you tell people what to do again.

Yeah the press release thing was pretty funny. They've just copied and pasted entire sentences from c2002 and c2004 press releases.

They've not exactly shown themselves to be creative geniuses. Some of the kits from the original games absolutely sucked! :D

As long as there is swing and manual appealing.........I dont care

 so you are happy to have crap gameplay whereby you can bowl the best team out for under 50 on any level, or whereby the cpu needs 20 off 10 overs with 5 wickets remaining but keeps on slogging regardless until it bowls itself out, as long as you have swing and manual appealing ?

Adding to what Zimrahil says above, the developers of BLIC have promised some radical changes in the basic structure of cricket simulators. So far, batting has been the primary focus of all cricket games. Codemasters(and Swordfish) have promised to make bowling and fielding as intuitive and fun as batting, which, if implemented would be a huge step forward for cricket gaming as a whole.

EA, on the other hand, have not yet shown enough creativity to reword and rephrase their press releases, so to expect any radical changes for the better from them would be a tad too optimistic, IMO.

details on ea's game are scarce so until there is any further info i think we shd play the waiting game .. i.e if ea actually release a few more details and screenies unlike c2004

Ritiwck you are aboslutely right in this regard and we cannot expect so much from Ea 2005 but still they may give us a suprise package.

if they are trying to make bowling as fun as batting, that doesnt mean its going to be realistic. Having to bowl for hours and struggling to get a wicket isnt exactly fun, but neither is the opposite of bowling them out in 5 overs. We have to remember that the audience that will be buying this game will be mostly people who arent hard core cricket game players like alot here, and would find nothing more boring than to be bowling for a couple of hours

And there was me thinking the bowling not being 'interesting' was part of the problem in cricket games? The option has been there for aslong as I can remember where you can autoplay the bowling if you want, and that is no doubt what alot of people will do. For those of us that do want to bowl, the 'experience' looks like its been made much more interesting and important, whereas in games like BLC 99, C2002 and C2004 it was clear not much importance was put on bowling!
