Iniyan's Progress

Iniyan, where u from.
Because listning to your stats you sound like the next best thing in cricket. A second coming of Tendulkar or Bradman or something? How can you trust that you are telling the truth. :unfazed: No disrespect but your "12 centuries" are just too good to be true.
I play U19 and 3rd division here in Canada and my top score is 82 :( (Mind you i'm only 16 and this is my first year playing league cricket).

Info on me:
Right Handed opening batsman.
RH medium slow bowler.

I wopuld be dust to Tendulkar. Well, here in India, its easy to get runs. Being a left-hander helps me a lot, as I love the ball outside the off-stump and that's where people bowl.

And as I've said earlier, there are lots of better players. There are guys who get centuries once in every three outings. I dpn't know how to prove my stand, but you can check out in local U-19 scores in India, and tell you what, 250 in 40 overs is easily chasable. All U-19 matches are played for 40 overs here.

And I've played quite a lot in the U-19 level. 94 matches, to be exact. This includes the inter-state matches, inter-zone matches and school matches.

I've got my first century in two years now, and this last one is my best innings as you might know the differences between U-19 performances and league performances.

And I've played in the U-12 level also.

I don't know how to prove my 12 centuries but you can read on my top score in The Hindu dated July 21, 2000. There are actually two instances on my performances, one in cricket and the other in Athletics. In the sports section, you should find a topic called Pondicherry boys thrash Orissa You should find this.

A match-winning innings of 161 off just 149 balls by Nachinarkiniyan helped Pondicherry post an impressive total of 281 for the loss of five wickets. The southpaw smashed 17 fours and a six.

Another one could be found in The Hindu dated August 18, 2000 in the topic Five new meet records set as Senthil Kumar of Tamil Nadu bags three golds You should find my name in the Boys U-18 Shot-put. I bagged the bronze medal.

Just because your top score is 82 doesn't mean that I cannot score 100s, does it? <_<

Just joking. :D :D

Congrat Iniyan, you look like your going places. ^_^

One of my worst days no the fiels. Probably the worst. First stuff, the first ball of the match, I was hit square on my face. The mat had been loose and the ball took off a good-length delivery. I got back to the crease when the third wicket fell only to see get bowled the third delivery for a duck.

Then while fielding at slips, I landed with my left wrist straight on the ball and eventually broke it. Got a second degree fracture on my left wrist.

I'll be out of cricket for atleast two months now.

Guys, I've been prescribed these two pain-killers - Powerzox and Tolpa. The problem is that these were specified by an arsehole of a doctor and the medicine doesn't seem to work. I'll be able to go to Madras ( Chennai ) for further treatment only after three days as I have my internals going on in college. Anybody with doctors or physios at home, could you please consult them for any medicine good enough?

Thanks.

Hard luck, man but that's cricket. :sorry:

i played yesterday. the first ball of the match the organisers had not put nails on the side where nachinarkiniyan was batting. the ball was on good length. he went to front foot. the ball went up and hit him on his face just below the right year. he was not wearing helmet also. he said he was dizzy. when i was bowling the ball went to first slip but did not carry, so nachinarkiniyan tried to catch from second slip. ho caught it but landed with the ball on his left wrist. the wrist could not bear his weight, i think. it broke.
