I have a friend of mine who does beta-testing for various companies.

Recently he got his hands on C2K5 thru another beta tester friend of his.

Some of the plus points he mentioned were like: ;

• TV oveerlays not great but you would not get bored of them.
• 12 th man concept has finally arrived .He once was caught by the sub.
• AI he says is nearly the same.
• Crowds they look lively and somewhat real.
• He wasnt sure but charity matches are included as well.
• Bowlers give glare to batsman if hit for four or had batsman missing.The movie included is great he says
• This time we can move the batsman wherever we want to.He says he got his batsman facing the square leg umpire for a scoop over fine leg.
• All the shots included including the cut over the slips.

• He says the fielding aspect has been untouched.His three batsman were caught of straight forward bump balls.

Since this was 2nd beta testing process nothing much would change I suppose.

: just like we expected, if this is true... :help even if BLIC 2005 is crap (most likely not ) at least its a completly new game, not just Cricket 2004 with a few added things :

Doesn't sound too good. If the AI is the same then there is no way I am buying that game.

Also, it doesn't appear they have fixed the catch off a bump-ball bug.

this game mite not be too bad guys ... lets just wait till the demo ... and see! but i'm assuming that since the AI is still f***ed up the patchers will have to start warming up already ... our patchers are simply AWESOME and if not for them i would not even consider c2005 ... thanking ALL of em for working on patches for ALL of the cricket community !!!

To be honest I hate this FIFA crowd in C2k5, all the stadiums would be always full no variety in crowd, BLIC crowd is much, much better.

It sounds fairly legit to me. I have heard rumours of there being beta versions floating around. Apparantly Codies were sent one!
