Fixed by lowering the graphics quality 2 levels down. Playing at the lowest settings now. I am on a Macbook running on an onboard graphics chip - Intel GMA 3150

I noticed onboard cards not faring so well...sorry guys...I will mention this build is NOT optimized, so expect the future releases to be much more forgiving in terms of performance (even taking the overhauled next gen graphics into account).

Furthermore, Nvidia cards will give a slightly higher boost due to the physX chips.

always aim for 60FPS!
even if its the lowest setting imaginable...
only then can get all the physics and stuff working properly....

i too have a crappy laptop.

3GB RAM
Dual Core 2.2
64MB GFX onboard!

thats basically the FF / BF toggle.

CTRL + mouse = FF mode...
just mouse = BF mode...

since this alpha has very limited shots.....you cant play around with it.

The strokes in this release are limited. You can only do front foot (front of wicket) shots. But in the full game you can use CTRL key to change front foot/back foot mode while batting. If you choose back foot mode then you can play all the back foot strokes (back foot drives, pull, cut, etc)

Please remember to try out heaps of stuff....it's really cool how much variety happens. Also, don't forget the 'L' key to toggle the 'wip spider'...proves all of our shots are unique. Nothing scripted here.

as said earlier...the GFX are below par. but work is under progress and hopefully they'll improve in the future releases.

however, I noticed you always bowl slower balls...remember HOLD space down to raise max pace

also, remember you can swing and seam the ball too

Also, should mention that currently batsman cant move left/right/forward back etc so it's harder to get into position to play the shots - this will clearly be there in the next release.

Finally, practice makes perfect...you DO get used to it and all of a sudden the timing comes and you are doing some great stuff, trust me
