Just got back from the Halo 3 launch party.

Thanks to my wonderful job at Play.com. I just got back from the launch party at the BFI IMax in London. I now have in my possession all of the things in the photograph below. Most importantl, I've got a free copy of the game itself. Time to play! :onpc

Will post my early impressions of the game later on.

Halo is extremely over rated to me.
I've played 2 of them and they were really poor, the gameplay was inspiring, the graphics were bad.
I have never been a fan and after playing a few of the games I will never be again

No, Halo 3 was only released for Xbox 360 because Microsoft wanted to sell more of them.

microsoft wanted too sell more of them???? huh.... then why wouldn't they make it microsoft windows only for the PC platform? distract those gae mac users?

although mac plays hardly any games anyway so it wouldn't matter much

I actually had an arguement with about twelve of my mates about Halo 3. I don't understand why Halo is so good, compared to any other shooter.

Resistance: Fall of Man on PS3 > Halo 3

I think Dude (will) is a big fan, he was asking me about it on msn the other day. I have never played it though.

Cant say i am a fan of it, i was waiting for this to see what all the fuss was about. Got in had to go up to the shops and sign for it, got back in rushed to my xbox loaded it up and though what the hell is this. The Graphics suck ass, the games not even fun and online?... well its just ummm crap. Most over overhyped game evvvvvvvvvvvveeeeerrr. Im enjoying Fifa 08 on Wii much more .

Lets not turn this into an Anti-Halo thread. Burma's a good fan of Halo so, I am sure he is enjoying the game atm. Me, myself haven't played the game so, cannot give any comments. Apparently its a must have on Xbox, so I have heard.

Ive got the game, its quite good! the graphics are very impressive, not sure about the gameplay, but ive been playing online for a couple of days and I am enjoying that. Running over people in the vehicles brings me great joy

its fun, very arcadey and a hardcore FPS fan most likely won't like it, its realism factor is about zero, but its somewhat enjoying especially in multiplayer.

however i consider it nothing special and is incredibly over-hyped

sorry.. i can't agree to that... and theres numerous FPS i would rate 3x as good as halo atleast... but i won't go into that....
