Team Karnataka Reach Adelaide, with Few shocks.
Karnataka team, who were scheduled to play 3 ODI's and a FC match at Adelaide, reached Adelaide four days ahead of their first OD match. But the injuries to Zaheer Khan and Sreesanth meant that the Karnataka pacers Abhimanyu Mithun and R Vinay Kumar were at Sri Lanka, representing India. R Vinay Kumar & Rahul Dravid were all set to join Karnataka just before a day the first OD match starts, but Abhimanyu Mithun's top form made selectors select him for Indian one day side. Abhimanyu Mithun was scheduled to arrive at Adelaide just 36 hours before their FC match starts, only if India fails to qualify for the ODI Tri- series final against Sri Lanka and New Zealand.

Venkatesh Prasad said that he din't had any problem with absence of Vinay Kumar and Mithun cause it (playing for India in Test matches) was their dream come true and wished them luck. He said that he'll be training the others guys well.
Abhimanyu's 15 wicket haul at the third test against Sri Lanka made him stay at Sri Lanka to represent India in ODI's.
The management has declared that there won't be any other replacement for Abhimanyu Mithun, cause acquiring visa was a problem. However, the Indian embassy at Australia declared that they can issue visa by 6th august, if they apply for visa on 1st August.
Meanwhile, New South Wales Pacer Mark Cameron offered his services to Karnataka, for which Karnataka almost gave green signal. However, the final call was to be given by the KSCA, couple of days before their first OD game. All the monetary matters, etc etc were taken into consideration by KSCA.

All Set for the West End One Day cup, 2010.
The West End One Day cup, which features a three 50 over games between South Australia Redbacks and Karnataka was all set to kick start. Karnataka's batting definitely looked the hot property of the tournament. The Karnataka side being led by Rahul Dravid, will miss the services of Rahul Dravid for the first OD because of his fitness issues for his future availability. However, R Vinay Kumar, who even arrived with Dravid will play as Karnataka's bowling is pretty weak.
Rahul Dravid, who was not playing the first OD match due to his fitness issues for his future availability, had these stuffs to do.
Inclusion of Mark Cameron in the Karnataka squad has been ruled out by the KSCA president, Mr. Brijesh Patel, as he was not of Indian nationality.
Karnataka's batting was said be be the favorite because of the likes of Robin Uthappa, Manish Pandey, Stuart Binny, Balachandra Akhil. Karnataka's bowling was looking formidable without Abhimanyu Mithun. R Vinay Kumar along with Sreenath Aravind were to share the new ball. One from Stuart Binny or Balachandra Akhil were to play the role of change bowler and the other one was to play the role of 5th bowler. One of Appana and Joshi were to play as the pitch at Adelaide was not supporting spinners much. Sunil Joshi was the likely person as he has an 18- year experience, which was more important to youngsters as Dravid was not playing.
Shaun Tait plays a bit of rugby for entertainment with his team mates.
On the other hand, South Australia Redbacks were looking not so good on paper, There were few big names, which includes the in form Shaun Tait, Callum Ferguson, Graham Manou. Both of their batting and bowling were looking formidable. They din't have either a good Ford Ranger Cup season, or good Sheffield Shield. They were the runners of the KFC T20 Big Bash 2009-10. But the Karnataka bowling being pretty loose, their batsmen were given some extra practice and their batsmen were given fair amount of speeches on techniques by their country formers like Matthew Hayden. Hayden along with Jason Gillespie were all set to debut as coach for South Australia Redbacks.
