Yeah. Coz all that some guys do is keep on ranting and raving and force threads to be closed. I wanted to save the mods the effort
And what wrong has he said? Why would a franchise, that spends millions on a player, want him to go and play for his home domestic team when he suddenly wakes up one day realizing, "Oh, I can use the IPL to make all the money I want to. But I think my allegiance lies with my domestic club"? This is
NOT the way a professional contract and a professional works. If you don't want to play by the rules and contracts, don't play in the IPL. You want to earn money as a player, fair enough. Atleast gracefully honour your contract! You can't be walking in according to your preferences and out of the squad, when the team, which payed you an average of $300,000 needs you.
You can't, as some people here have been suggesting, play in a league which is paying millions to you for a bloody 40 day job and yet not get stick for not showing up for work. It is preposterous ! :doh
Lets not forget, IPL franchises
LOSE >$200,000 for securing the services of a player who plays for multiple teams while non-IPL teams
DON'T PAY A FIG ! That is UNFAIR to the IPL franchises !
I don't see anyone talking about this. Now why is that so? :sarcasm
As for the national boards, when they get a cut, its "okay". When the players get paid, the boards say its "not possible for us to grant an NOC coz we are busy qualifying for the CL T20" (which is also Modi's brainchild). Gee, this is downright hypocrisy.
And for the record, You
DON'T have any rights to vilify a man for running
HIS league the way HE wants to ! He is completely justified with his rules for the new season, just like England & South Africa are
COMPLETELY JUSTIFIED in doing away with the 50 over format at the domestic level to make a quick buck
.
All IPL/Lalit Modi haters... Please refrain from making unnecessary comments if you are, as you say, least bothered about IPL. Pick a stance and stick to it.
