Ian Chappell knows so much, he'll probably tell me what to name my first child.

I thought we'd agreed not to change Stueys name? Agreed on Ian Chapple though, he never has a good word to say about England so i don't take much notice of anything he says.

You've obviously forgottenabout our first child since we put him up for adoption :crying

Yeah, I liked the way he was playing Warne off the back foot.

Dear lord...

...Err, I didn't think Chris Read batted that badly in the 2nd innings of the Boxing Day Test.
Yeah, that was my point. His batting and keeping were both good in his last series. It's not that I hate Prior (though his keeping is currently substandard), it's just that Read did nothing wrong, he was gloving them consistently against Australia and his batting was good too, against Warne, McGrath, Clark and Lee, yet at the same time he was dropped?

It makes no sense.

He failed 3 times out of 4 in the Ashes, not sure how that is regarded as good?

I've always felt Read has been treated a bit harshly by the management/Fletcher, but no point in changing yet again. I've noted how ex-keeper Bob Taylor has also jumped on the bandwagon again, where were these people in the West Indies series?

Prior could get into our team just for his batting which is what happened in Pakistan when GoJo kept in the ODI series and Prior opened. He is a class batsman.

.....Are you trying to tell me that Geraint Jones is as good as Matt Prior?

He is nowhere near. We will see how good he is after the India series.

Remember that Will? I told you we will see.

Let's have a look at the ODI games where he is very important opening the batting, and some keeping..

Remember that Will? I told you we will see.

I was talking about his batting, not keeping by the way.

He didn't do that bad. He got starts. He got good balls.

When everyone is jumping on your back because of your keeping, your confidence deteriorates and so his batting suffered. All, he needs is a string of good matches with bat and ball and his confidence will be back. A few catches a match and few fifties even hundreds.

He can bowl aswell!
Give Strauss those gloves and have Prior bowling.
Keep this man in the team for the next 14 years.

But seriously:)Bat and Gloves, I think he'll do well, the cirticism can't get much worse, and I reckon he'll fight back, and make Ian Chappel shut up.

He'll do fine in ODI's anybody can keep for 50 overs, because you always know it will end at a certain point away from you, it's easier to concentrate.
When it's tests it's a different ball game.
