Sorry to get all cricket related in the General Chat section, but the 'golden era' of cricket for me was when Dravid was the 'keeper in the ODI game.
Ganguly the resurgent leader, teaching India the much needed aggression and got the young guns in the team.
Tendulkar-Sehwag opening the Innings, you never knew what was going to happen. Either it was a smashing 100 in the first 15 overs or 50-3 or something.
Dravid the savior, always walked to the crease in a tense situation and steadied the ship, Yuvraj/Kaif at the other end getting the runs.
Zaheer Khan and Ashish Nehra were just coming into the game and we finally had half-decent strike bowlers to compliment the ever reliable Javagal Srinath.
And the results were never solid. You never knew what India was going to do, win by the skin of our teeth, or snatch a loss from the jaws of victory. Its what made watching cricket special, it always kept me interested.
Good times. I miss those times, Cricket just isn't as fun any more.
