Which of these will have a higher legendary rank in the future?

Dravid i think at the moment edges it in the Test Rankings but Yousuf In the ODI format by a big way.

I'm thinking 60/40 to Yousuf

could have made a thread like Afridi vs symonds but thought about this as it has always interested me cos both of them have a similar roles for their respective countries and makes more sense than a tendulkar vs inzi or afridi vs dhoni comparisons

depends how long Yousuf plays. Dravid will always be known as the wall, the dude with the solid defense.
Yousuf will easily become the best batsman out of Pakistan, he already has a record that nobody could pass for 30 years before he broke it and over the last few years he has been one of the best run getters in cricket.

in tests dravid>>>>>yousof
odis yousof>>>>dravid

dravid will always be remember for that 233 and 72 not out at adelaide or tat inning in wi in 2006, or tat 180 against pak or tat partnership with calcutta with vvs

dravid in won matches- 73.37
dravid in lost matches- 26.78
dravid in drawn matches- 71.78

yusuf in won matches-59.47
yusuf in lost matches-40.14
yusuf in drawn matches-76.64

In australia

Dravid: 48.60
yusuf: 33.00

i doubt if yusuf gets to play in aus again

in saf

dravid: 33.60
yusuf: 26.10

in nz

dravid: 64.57
yusuf: 69.71
not to take anything away, but yusuf never faced bond in nz

in 20 yrs, dravid will always be remembered more
but in last yr or so, he hasnt helped his legacy
if he keeps having those 20 in 100 balls then his legacy will be a lil tarnished

Well, here in Aus we dont see much of Pakistan, and we have come up against Dravid many a time and seen some great innings from him. So here in Australia anyway, Dravid will be better remembered.

if they both play together it will be hard to get them out and score might get to 603/2 yousaf and dravid 250+ dravid 250+ in 565 balls and yousuf 250+ in 380 balls. yousuf 2 6s abt 30 4s dravid 0 6s and abt 25 4s
so they both are the same and good.
yousuf dravid >>>>>>>>>>>>>> world

I have to agree, though I'll remember Dravid as boring and not very effective based on the match I saw him live (Boxing Day last year).

From what i've seen, i'd have to go with Yousuf. He was magnificent in England, really dominated our attack when Pakistan last toured England, i was really impressed by him. I can't honestly remember a Rahul Dravid innings of note from the England tour, the only detail I remember about Dravid from the tour was him hitting a square drive for 6 in the ODi series. So from what i've seen live on TV, I'll remember Mohammed Yousuf more.

and not to mention in another 20 years people will look at stats mostly,
and the way yousuf is goiing he will have a superior test record to dravid too.
Yousuf hasnt been halped due to his limtied appearances vs the aussies and dravid playing the aussies every 2-3 years.
it will be nearly 4 years this year that yousuf has played the aussies

Yousuf will always been remember more prominently due to Dravid being totally overshadowed during his career by Sachin Tendulkar. Despite the fact that at times, Dravid has been more vital to India than Tendulkar.

However it's shared over who is better, despite Yousuf being a fantastic test player, Dravid should go down in history as one of the best. His record is incredible and he gets a hard time from the Indians, particularly on here, for reasons which I can never fathem.

However Yousuf manipulates his game to suit ODI's a lot better than Dravid ever did. Yousuf can be much more free flowing and hold an innings.

If you talking about tests then Dravid has done more than even Sachin for India.Actually I don't see any logic in comparision of Dravid and M Yusuf as both these batsmans are key factors in Test for their teams.

70/30 Dravid.

Dravid is downhill nowdays otherwise it would have been 80/20.

Rahul Dravid Versus Mohammed Yousuf?

Whats the point in comparing them because as Vaiby said they both have the same roles...

Dravid 90-10 for me.

He values his wicket as much as he values his life. He builds it beautifully in the test format.

As per the ODI game, he's always been a fantastic player, just going through a lean phase at the moment. If you rewind a couple of years back, he was consistently scoring those quiet 50s, 60's and 70's to keep the innings together.

Over 10,000 runs and an average of 40 doesn't match up with a decent batsman.
