Most boring cricketers ever..

you must be mental mate, Ross Taylor is one of the most aesthetically pleasing batsman to watch. Especially his front foot drives.

Alastair Cook is about as boring as they get.

You must be a nutcase not me.Anyway no need to fight here...To me Ross Taylor is very irritating.Alastair Cook is a lot more entertaining to watch than Ross Taylor.

Well you all are a bunch of kids who grew up watching t20 and 50 overs cricket. So you appreciate aggressive players without much technique.I have seen many here say that Dravid is a bore to watch.Well that goes to show nobody really admires real cricket [Test cricket].Playing defensively is also a part of cricket and one should learn to admire defensive players as well.Almost every match these days you see only aggressive cricket being played with absolutely no room for defensive players. It is only a matter of time before people start complaining about t20 being boring and in another couple of decades we will have t10 or even t5.

Cricket is the only game that has been affected by fans. These fans dont know how to admire test cricket and all they can do is P*ss and moan that test cricket is boring and call players like Dravid,Vaughan,Mohammed Yousuf,Stephen Fleming,Hick,John Wright,Cullinan,Atherton and other palyers known more for their defence as boring cricketers.Seriously guys gimme a break.I have seen more cricket than all of you combined and I know a good attacking batsman when I see one.Ross Taylor I am afraid neither good defensively nor can he attack with grace and thats why the Kiwis are pathetic cos they rely too much on him.Atleast with Vincent you are sure that he will attack and paly his natural game.I dont mean to hurt anyone but it is just my opinion that you should watch more test match cricket and stop watching crap like IPL and t20 competitions....

Have you watched every FC, Test, and ODI game since 1877?

Not really:p but I tend to like test matches more than 50 overs and 50 overs more than 20 overs.....Because the longer the format is,the players with better technique can showcase their talents.Don't you agree ?

I have watched a lot of test match cricket and tried my best not to miss any during the past 20 years....I do have many documentaries and books related to the history of cricket and obviously learnt a lot from them as well...

^^Hold your horses buddy.I agree with some of what you said but there is no need for you to be preaching others about cricket. They can decide which is better themselves. To me each format is unique in its own way. This topic is about the boring cricketer and not about the history of cricket.

To me the most boring cricketer is Brett Geeves....Seriously he is way too overrated as a bowler in the domestic circuit and should have never played for Australia...

I'm not sure how Geoff Boycott managed 22 centuries, he is perhaps one of the most boring batsmen ever. I guess there must be some doubt about that figure however, as most of the fielders and scorekeepers probably fell asleep whilst he was batting. Interesting.

Boycott was ironically the first ever English player to bat for all five days of a test match.
