Just wondered if you guys had a shot you used more often than others. My battings not great and I tend to use the sweep and leg glance practically all the time.

My joypad is dodgy so playing the leg glance often turns into to sweep and I get out lbw!
I tend to try and create space and play through the offside whenever I can.

slog sweep, forward defence, straight or on drive. on drive is good to play to a ball that will be a full toss.

I normally play the on-drive to anything full and on the stumps, especially in Test's when there isn't a fielder at mid-on. Also I find it easier to score sixes this way, especially if it's just outside off stump and quite full. I do play the forward defensive a lot though, as well.

Advancing and smashing it over square leg! One of my favorites shots in real life (if i can play it).

i often play the cover drive which goes straight into the hands of the fielder.
i also play sweep, straight drive, glace of the hips a lot

forward defensive / backward defensive shot.
I hate using the back foot defensive shot, I seem to either edge it, or knock it down too close to the close fielders for my liking.

All my shots are on legside! The computer never bowls off stump on me so I have to hit leg side shots, that is pretty annoying! :(

Against the quicks: fwd defence, front on drive, back straight drive, front cover drive, leg glance. I can't play the front straight drive, cut or the hook at all.

Against the spinners: fwd defence, back straight drive, cut, sweep.

I only really play test matches, so only really use the advance shots to "defend" a yorker.

I only really use the straight drive in ODI's. Mainly because the AI don't have a mid off so anything just outside the offstump can be driven down there for an easy single.

Makes sense. I just can't seem to hit the ball. Even when I do, its so badly timed that I just don't bother. Shame, as I like that stroke.

I found it difficult at first as you can't play it when it's pitched on the stumps.

As a rough guide though, play the shot just before the ball pitches for a fast medium bowler, this should mean that it goes straight. I still struggle though, I'd say 75% go for a single but sometimes I pick out the fielders or even the stumps at the other end.

I've never managed to hit a short ball for any runs with the 6-hit button and almost always miss the hook and pull without. I also rarely connect with either square cut.
Can't hit yorkers either so I'm pretty much stuck with the cover drive and on drive as my only scoring shots!
