Squad Rules​

Each nation's squad will be made up of fifteen players from their player pool. In the case of Montserrat, I could only find fifteen players, but never mind. Each squad should contain a captain and at least one wicket-keeper.

Line-Up Rules​

Each team of eleven players from within your squad will contain your squad captain, as well as a wicket-keeper (marked ) and at least five, but ideally six or more, bowlers (marked ).

Format Rules​

The Championship will be played between sixteen nations from The Americas region, who are split into four groups of four. All matches are 50 overs per side.​

Managers of nations announced
Several teams have named their managers today - among the highest profile managers are @Aggz for Jamaica, @Samuels for T&T and @Simon for Dominica.

Arun flounces; Simon replaces
Controversy has already struck The Championship as @Arun. walks out on his Barbados side within seconds of being appointed to his post. @Simon has replaced him, which leaves Dominica managerless.

Squads to start coming in
The Championship board requests that all managers begin the task of pruning their squads to fifteen ahead of the tournament, according to the rules of the competition.

Squad News:
"Disgraceful selection" - Barnwell - Christopher Barnwell is furious at being left out by Guyana.
"As strong as most full teams" - Guillen - T&T's 'A' team is as strong as most naitons, apparently.
Jamaica squad "frightening" - Jimmy Adams fears for Jamaica's Championship opponents.
Olive gets his chance - Grenadian seamer John Olive could make a big splash as he finally gets an opportunity.
St Vincent worth a punt - Winston Davis says that St Vincent are the main challenge to the Big Four.
Doram, Baker looking for an upset - the two least-fancied nations refuse to be written off.

Guyana lose face, St Kitts lose hope
Guyana have been rumbled by their own 'A' team; St Kitts & Nevis feeling deflated after losing what is effectively a dress rehearsal of their tournament opener against the mighty T&T.

Upsets leave Barbados, Guyana in the lurch
Barbados and Guyana have found themselves in a genuine fight to hold onto the top-eight spots that they would expect, thanks to upsets against Grenada and St Vincent respectively.

Cricket back on after the break
After a short break in proceedings, the Nagico Americas Championship is back on. There are two rounds of the group stage left, with Barbadosand Guyana having found themselves in a real scrap for their top-eight places.

Nail-biting tie for Anguilla and T&T
The most thrilling game of the season so far was played today between Anguilla and regional giants Trinidad & Tobago. After positive innings from Hughes, Hamilton and Adams, Omari Banks bowled a super-human final over to halve the points.

Everything's open after thrilling round
The big upset came in Group D, where Jamaica failed to pay attention for long enough to dispatch the lowly (and elderly) Montserrat team. It's all still open with nobody guaranteed a place in the quarter-finals yet.

Race for the Knockouts:
Anguilla and Trinidad progress - In Group A, Anguilla head the tight chasing pack thanks to their earlier tie.
Guyana, St Vincent beat competition - With all four teams level in Group B, the final round of games was crucial.
Barbados win key clash - Triumph in must-win St Lucia clash. Meanwhile, unfancied Grenada finish top of Group C.
Russell, Samuels blast Jamaica to top - Beat the USA to join them in the Quarters; Canada crash out of Group D.

Jamaica, Guyana biggest Quarter-Final casualties
Denesh Ramdin's sensible batting ensured that T&T prevailed in the headline draw against Guyana. Elsewhere, Barbados and America both posted comfortable victories, but the big shock came a boat-ride away in St Kitts, where Anguilla's dogged fighting overhauled Jamaica's lackadaisical batting.

T&T, Barbados set up exciting finale
At the Recreation Ground, the Americans would have had the pre-tournament favourites worried when they were restricted to a very chaseable 237, however, it just wasn't to be once Nadkarni and Massiah had self-destructed. Ryan Corns starred in a losing cause with 40 and 3 for 27. Elsewhere, Anguilla just couldn't stand up to the fiery Barbados bowling.
