Hi,
We all know that IPL is the world's biggest domestic T20 league where most of the star international players play alongside Indian local+national players. But we don't get to see the Indian players participating in other country's domestic leagues. The main reason for this is NOC. BCCI always deny players and won't grant NOC to players who are interested in playing in other leagues.

If the players are granted the NOC, it will surely help them improve their game on different conditions and study the foreign pitches closely. They get to play on England, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa pitches. They can also play with various kinds of players.

I'm thinking of posting a petition addressing BCCI officials. So that players are allowed to play in other countries/leagues. If we have maximum signatures, we'll surely reach out to them. What are your suggestions regarding this? Post below and I'll see what all can we do for this.

Thanks :)

Simply saying ,
Don't take cricket seriously . We are not the cricketers/the ones who would get paid . Just enjoy the matches . That's it !!

It's sad to see that You would rather see Your players play all over the world, than see Pakistani players play with You.
It isn't the fault of BCCI who organize the league. When there was terror attack on Mumbai in 2008, Pakistani players were not allowed into the country for their security purposes, which had a direct impact on team franchises who paid huge amount of money on the players and they were not there to play.

All the players were allowed to register themselves for the next season but no franchise owners were interested to buy them considering the huge losses they had to face due to them. It happened for next two years/seasons and ultimately Pakistani players withdrew their names from the auction.

Appreciate the effort and optimism, but here is the thing. It took the Supreme Court of India to ruffle some feathers in BCCI, that too after several warnings and threats. I don't think an online petition is going have any effect whatsoever :(

They'll throw the petition in the trash can as soon as it gets to them.

One plausible explanation is that allowing players to play in foreign leagues makes it tougher for the BCCI to keep a close watch on them off-the-field. With all the issues the BCCI have, the last thing they need is an Indian player getting caught for taking drugs or match fixing. Not justifying the BCCI's position but this could be one reason.

It's actually a much more idiotic reason. They fear it could damage the "IPL brand".

This is sadly true.

Makes sense. But I feel it also stems from an urge of BCCI to have complete control over a player.

I respectfully disagree. BCCI have nothing to worry about w.r.t IPL as it is still the sought-after league, at least from an Indian perspective. Having an Indian player play in another tournament won't make him less interested in IPL.

The only NOC Bcci should give to Indian Players is to play County cricket.Playing t20 around the world will not help anyone to improve their technique or game to a larger extent. The another reason i think BCCI should not allow BCCI because majority of the leagues clashes with our domestic competition (Ranji,Deodhar etc) from october to February and in between there are some state leagues too TNPl,KPl and other such leagues.
The only time cricket is not played in India is between June to August this is the time where players need to play in England but in this time BCCI organizes 'A' tour most likely in Australia (Townsville) almost every 2nd Year.
If playing t20 cricket improves the game of a player then most of them especially from Australia and NZ should done well in Asia in the last 6 - 7 years. The only Positive side i see in providing NOC is to allow discarded player to play different t20 leagues. For ex - Yusuf Pathan (he is not even selected in Zonal t20 league for west zone ) will be able to play in some other t20 leagues ,Robin Uthappa or some another players who are not playing domestic cricket at the moment should be given NOCs .
