This is the impression one gets a first. Just disregard this impression.
You will soon pick up on when a sweet shot has been made by the
sound of bat on ball, and what little of the ball flight you do see.
Also, You will know when you get hit, and have a pretty good
idea when you make a " bad shot ".
Where the ball is going to end up isn't really important.
Your here to learn timing and shot selection.
You don't really get enough time to focus on a particular
line and length ball in the field. Think about it.!!!!!!!!
You are being bowled different line and length balls, and you have only
one or two seconds to make 16 decisions on what you are going to do.
This will be a "SLOW" way to learn.
The brilliant line and length select option at the nets is a God send.
You can really " HONE HONE HONE IN " to ones heart content.
I see my net practice "shine through" when I go out on the field to bat.
Yes!!! my experience " is ", that net practice works out on the field.
I still have a long way to go but, I'm loving this game more each time I play it.
I think the batting this time round in C2K5 is excellent and the best yet.
Since finding out " the art " of how to bowl without using the bowling cursor,
it has added a new level of challange and fun when bowling, and for me now,
C2k5 is a complete game, with both batting and bowling being great fun.
On top of that, the fact that patch makers are now getting into the swing of
things, and er ....... well,..... ain't life great.
I can now live with the faults that this game has.
So to end with.... After 2 weeks with C2K5, I give this "GREAT" game 89/100
If EA /HB were not so snob nosed, and had invited PlanetCricket staff to Beta test
and advise on this game, it would surely be a 95/100 game at least.
But as they have "NO" interest in making heaps more sales, "OR" receiving
"GREAT" accolades,......well ......God is the one who hands out intelligence ain't it.
