New BLC user..needs your help please! - Game seems kind of stuck after

Hi BLC gurus,

I recently got hold of BLC and installed on my Windows 98 machine.

When I started the game, (quick start or any tournament) I go all the way to the Toss, once the Toss is done, the game simply doesn't proceed.

The two captains, simply stand there with their hands crossed and kind of shaking their body. This goes on and on..

Have you anyone encountered this situation?

This has been the most common problems of all the new BLC users. To coreect this.... you could..
1.) Try updating your driver of the soundcard.....
2.) You can go to the settings in the main menu of BLC and turn the sounds and music off. Then restart the game and it will work beautifully without the sound AND COMMENTARY OF COURSE.

I tried turning off sound , music and commentory, but even then the same story! After the Toss, the captains go for a kind of dancing in the middle of the pitch

Any other causes?

have you got a pirated cd?This does happen when the game cd is pirated and/or the sound files have not been correctly installed.One sure shot way of checking this would be to play a classic match with sound and commentary on.The classic match will start because in a classic match there's no toss etc.

To solve the problem you can try re-installing the game with the "maximum install" option.

The BLC game works fine on my comp.When,i gave it to one of my friends ,he too encountered the same problem.The captians just keep chatting .

There is a very simple solution to this. Start the game it will start the movie, skip this if you want by pressing space, then a page with lots of text comes up, then finally the page comes up with Picture of brian lara . Normally you would press space or enter and go to the main menu. But the FIX is to hold down the RIGHT ARROW KEY then press the ENTER KEY at the same time. The game will move on to the main menu, if you here music the game will not freeze after the toss.
