Edit: let's hope Virat, Dhoni, Rohit Sharma sit these games out! The only use of this series is letting guys like Suresh Raina, Pandey, Iyer become back-up in their roles for future series.

Rohit Sharma leading the team and Kohli rested! But why are they resting MSD? He did not play the test part of the SA tour, which was the most energy sapping. Playing 6 ODI's and 3 T20's is not that hard. MSD could've easily gone to Sri Lanka for the Nidahas trophy. For him, its all about getting the most amount of match time in preparation for the World Cup next year, for which he is a certainty. Its good that Pant will likely replace Dhoni but still Dhoni should have played considering the WC in mind. I guess Dhoni and the BCCI wants him to be fresh for the IPL

Hope to see Raina, Pandey, Karthik and Rahul get a solid run in this series.
