MATCH 1: SYDNEY STINGRAYS VS DELHI HEAT at SCG, SYDNEY​

Welcome everyone. The excitement is about to begin with the first match of Nokia World Premier League 2009. It's a great atmosphere here at Sydney Cricket Ground and it is Sydney Stingrays taking on Delhi Heat. Both teams are well balanced. Sachin Tendulkar said yesterday that he is fit to play in today's game so it will a big advantage for Delhi Heat. Lets go to Ravi Sharsti who is ready to give the pitch report.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen. The stadium is action packed and crowd is all ready for the very first battle of the World Premier League 2009. Looking at the pitch, it is a very good batting track. It is dry with few cracks so the team winning toss will definitely bat on it. As its a Twenty20 game so toss is not very important but it is very obvious that the team batting second can face difficulties because pitch will help the spinners the second session. Thats all from the pitch report..
