Optical Illusions

Actually, seeing something that isn't there = mind playing tricks.
Don't you agree?:D

Not so much mind playing tricks, just making you think so. With those "puzzles" above, the eyes and brain work no differently than in normal everyday life.

you see, humans have limits and these things only exploit those limits.
U will generally see opticial illusions as amazing because we depend and trust our eyes so much.

very true...
infact, humans trust their eyes a bit too much...
and when they betray the mind, we think we are seeing an optical "illusion"...

An intersting type of optical illusion to ponder on:

The legendary game programmer John Carmack said in 2002 that for the next ten years atleast, game designers will grapple with the "nearly human" problem. This is a condition (shown clearly by Doom 3) in which the in-game characters are so close to real but not close enough that the mind amplifies the differences.
I think this is a fascinating thing, anybody know something more about this?

what the hell!!!! thats the freakiest illusion ever! how on earth does that work?
Without selecting any card, look at the first group of cards shown, then look at the second group of cards shown. What do you notice?

it asks u to concentrate on one particular card, so that u don't seem to notice that the other cards have been replaced!!!

lol, and to think all these years i was getting fooled by that trick

Here is an optical illusion pack mailed to me by my brother.
