PC Airways (a new start)

I did not realise what a beast the A300 is , she can fly over 2300 miles! it's also classified as a "heavy" jet. This thing is massive!

----------

I'm talking 7-8 hours of flight time easy. Covvy and Riz will be getting lots of points. The A300 nicknamed Big Baby is in Cape Town, South Africa.

Covvy and Riz will be bringing her to Schipol, from where she will run Europe to America cross Atlantic flights.

Full details on her maiden voyage coming soon.

Big Baby makes debut

News

Covvy flew the Air Bus A300 (Big Baby) on a very long maiden journey, from Cape Town, SA to Nairobi , Kenya. The aircraft cost us $55 million but is well worth it. The flight was over 2000nm and we still had 5 hours of fuel left.

The jet is massive, so Covvy made quite a lot of mistakes, but also raked in over $8 million for the flight.

Hopefully him and Riz can handle this beast, she is a hell of a lot bigger than I thought she was. I included an over the top view so you can see how long it took to stop on the runway, the runway was 10,000 ft long too.

I would not want to fly this thing in bad weather, it handles like a drunken elephant.

not sure about that considering all the reductions...:p, must be a hard plane to control and add to that we'll be flying over war zones for most of the trip.

Yea I was a bit worried, but if you fly over 25,000 feet the war risk goes to 0, so whilst flying over Africa I maintain 25k at least. Hopefully we don't get hit on the way down, cause this thing would be a hell of a thing to crash land. I'll try to park it next to a 737 so you guys can see it compared to PC1

----------

PC1 is in Abu Dhabi.

Hedger, your choice for the next flight. You can either go to Karachi, and fly though a 40% war zone. Or we can try to fly around Afghanistan and Pakistan on our way to India.

If you manage to land safely you get lots of bonus points, but of course you risk the worse.

instead of flying around afghanistan you can go to Muscat and then onto Mumbai.

Riz's suggestion would have ensured a 100% safe flight, Muscat is a 0% war chance and you could easily have made it to Mumbai from there.

But Hedger has decided to brave it and land in Pakistan, I'd start the flight here in about an hour and have full video coverage.

Fingers crossed for Hedger, and PC1 of course :)

this will be interesting, considering Hedger's track record and what happened with Bilal.

Well Hedger lucked out! The approach was directly over the ocean and just when I landed did the war zone alert register. So while he has landed safely in Karachi now, I doubt the take off to Mumbai will be as event free

Hedger avoids trouble but has flap problem on the way to Mumbai.

PC1 has arrived in Mumbai after a small in flight scare. The flaps got frozen set to 10 degrees and Hedger had to make an overspeed landing.

No, I turned on this setting that shows "Failure level" in flight, cause I was away for a bit and wanted to see if any failures had occurred. It considers it a cheat, I like having it on though, cause if I'm away and a failure occurs, no way to tell

Riz Khan brings Big Baby to Europe.

Riz Khan did much better than Covvy in flying the A300, he did get penalty points but not enough to put him in the negative for the overall flight. The bird has gotten a bit easier to fly but is still quite the challenge.

Here are some pictures, comparing the A300 to the 737 (Pc1), you can see how much larger she is. The range is almost 3000 miles.
