I think it would be an awesome idea to create a PC YouTube group where patch makers can upload their recorded videos of their patches (to see how it plays, looks etc) for users to view and decide if they would want to download it.

When you upload your video you put the url for where you can get it in the file description. This might not be allowed but I think it would be cool.

Nice thought :clap but not an easy task .

There doesn't need to be any changes, you can just upload a video to YouTube and post a link to it with your download.

But while your there you could check out other people's patches rather than searching for them and it will also give PC more exposure (not that it needs it :p)

If you title it right they will be in the 'related videos' bit at the side.

Moreover, every person is not capable of taking videos from his game. Taking videos takes the hell out of games ( In some cases i have seen it reduce frame rates by half ! )
You certainly dont want to see that kind of a video ;)

It's much easier just uploading it to youtube and letting them see it from there. No point in slowing down our servers while also using up the bandwidth when we have a more than capable host at youtube.

That's what I wanted, but in a group where all videos are easy accessible.

Start at thread and get everyone to link them there, then they'd be easily accessable.
