The reason why C07 won the best game award is simple. Just like the Indian Politics where votes get divided among the like-minded parties and the other one gets the benefit, in the same way Ashes and DBC votes got divided and C07 won with 36% votes. When you add the votes of both the BA games, it goes up to whopping 47%.

Ea Cricket 07 surpassed Ashes Cricket and DBC 14? Why?

Supposed to be DBC 14 or Ashes. These days everyone loving them.

The reason Cricket 07 is still getting played and modded because the game title has EA before it. If it was: HB Cricket 07, the game would have been long forgotten.

Most of the people donot have much higher requirements to play dbc and ashes
So they use our mods and play ea c07
They find fun in it
And i am in the part of that people
