India lose Sehwag in the first over - 4/1

Sehwag became a victim of his own carelessness as he edged a short of a length delivery from Mc Grath. But to his amazement, Ricky Ponting plucked the ball out of thin air to put an abrupt end to Sehwag's innings. It was a fantastic catch from Ponting that has perfectly set the electric atmosphere for this game!

Kaif and Tendulkar are right now at the crease!

Before the start of match we had a short conversation with Australian medium-fast bowler Glenn Mcgrath and he had following to say:

"I had a disappointed spell against Hampshire but it had a good effect also as it has inspired me for a better spell against India. So India beware because in next match, you are going to become victim of my fast bowling."

Those were actually very hard words and lets see how much it proves true. So far a good start for him as he got Sehwag out in very first over.

When putting the poll question, I allowed multiple options. So you dont get stucked on whom to choose. As a result I chose both Australia(my team) and India(my home country) :D .

New Zealand vs Hampshire

New Zealand 29/1 after 5 overs

A good start from Hampshire bowlers as both New Zealand openers Vincent and Flemming survived some very close calls. Fleming then took the charge and hit Mulally for two straight boundaries in 3rd over.

Vincent quickly run out of lucks as he was gven LBW by Steve Bucknar off an inswinging yorker from Tremlett. The LBW decision looked doubtful to many people. The next man in was Scott Styris for New Zealand who joined Flemming at other end. Flemming has looked in superb form as he is not out on 24 off just 15 bowls. The latest score for New Zealand was 29/1 off 5 overs.
