How about doing tours instead of Test series only? I mean, it will not only add to the story line but also let you keep your sanity Too much test cricket might turn boring after a while and we sure don't want that to happen.

Moreover, by playing all 3 or at least 2 formats, we can distinguish between the limited-over specialists and the not-so-agile test players. All in all, everyone gets a chance to be a part of this story.
