Please Help - BLC does not work

The game installs fine and works in the menu system, But it crashes on the pre-game screen every time. I have tried it on three different PC's all have windows 98 but different graphics cards. All the PC's have separate sound cards. I have tried using the software rendering but still it crashes.

Can anyone help ?

I have updated drivers and still it doesn't work.
