since objectdock is freeware and rather small, it does consume much cpu usage...but others such as desktop x and windows blinds do

It all depends on your cpu speed, memory and how many programs you have running in the background.

I have no problems with it.

How do you make the icons on your desktop look big? Is it freeware from stardock? And which freeware is it?

There's lot's of ways.

I use DesktopX from stardock, but there is alternative ways.
