Don't buy it yet, its not a finished product. I'll only say that much.

It's also massively overpriced at the moment, certainly in Europe and the States. There aren't a massive amount of games available, certainly not quality ones, and the online features are still dubious. Basically it's unlikely to be worth it's price for another year or two, and considering the Ps2 is currently enjoying one of it's best release periods in terms of quality games it's almost certainly worth waiting.

Wait around for the slim version to come out in 2-3 years time.

Certainly Playstation 2 did struggle selling consoles at the beginning and it looks like it's going to be the same, but after some time it will certainly start to dominate the other consoles. I'm thinking it's going to be quite the same.

Atm it is available in India ( i think they are brought from abroad ) for around Rs. 60000 . 360's launching price of microsoft was 18000 , though still it came in markets around 27000 , imagine ps3's market price if sony claims it around 25k !
