Investigators have confirmed Chris Benoit did commit murder suicide. He strangled his wive, Nancy, then smothered his kid, Daniel before taking his own life.

Steroids are understood to have played a part in the tragedy.

Alot of my mates are saying Benoit dosen't deserve to have this publicity because he commited murder suicide, but I believe he shouldn't be prejudiced for that. In the ring, he was an amazing wrestler and future Hall of Famer. He was a respected man and it was a shame to see him go.

(PS: I have dedicated my sig to Benoit. It is special for me, because there have only ever been New Zealanders in my sig. RIP Benoit, 1967-2007)

Isn't the number of people that die in WWE, from unnatural causes, surprising ? Seems very high.

Not really, considering the amount of steroids that are taken by them. They arent "forced" as such, but the stress that constantly being on the road has on them means that to keep their bodies going with the schedule they have, they resort to Steroids to keep them going. Another reason could be the lifestyle they live, very glamourous on the surface but very dark and full of drugs. Look at Guerrero, he was a heavy drug taker, before sorting himself out, the drug taking eventually caught up with him and hence his death. If the Steroids hadnt made him aggressive and kill his family, he would have died in the next 10 years or so anyway, its just the way things go with steroids. So, no it isnt surprising to me.
