Yes the 3 hour tribute show was aired on USA Network
In 2003 his wife had filed a petition for divorce and protection against Benoit but later she had requested it to be dismissed.

So will RAW not be shown on Thursday on Sky then?
Interesting about the petition.
Did he kill his first wife or his second do you know?

Seems his behaviour was pretty erratic and seems something was causing him to drug himself up. Its wierd that the people were sent to his house, so someone obviously said something, shame it was too late.

This is a real hard one, you want to remember Chris for all the good things he did for wrestling but to kill two people and then commit suicide makes it very tough.

just thought id add:

- Benoit was previously arrested for a DUI.

Hmm thanks for adding that Will, Driving while unstable with drugs that could at least explain that he doesn't have a criminal record with a scar on it.

Well the facts say that there was a bible next to his wifes body, could that have any relevence?

As I said to duded, the US is pretty devout country especially in the south. I don't think that there would be any significance to the bibles except for the usual. It may have been a way for him to gain some kind of peace or forgiveness but thats one we'll never know.

It seems pretty clear that something snapped, it may have been building for sometime or it may have just gone built up in an instance. The only real investigation left is to try to piece together his frame of mind and the reasons behind.

I was scrolling to this forum and I found this. It's quite shocking. He was a great wrestler.

I was thinking there was something in the bible that may of caused this but you may be right.
Employee's reporting strange behavior, something troubling him, it all makes a bit of sense.

The one thing that still bothers me is that he killed both victims at different times (nearly half a day apart) could he of snapped twice? or is there another factor?

You have to consider that it's not, what could be termed a 'normal' murder (well at least not in a British legal sense). Logic gets all twisted and nothing makes sense to the person in the middle of it all (the killer).

We also have to figure in that the son may have seen 'daddy' kill 'mommy' so because of this and despite the turmoil in his head, 'daddy' has to re-assure his kid and make things seem all right. Often the most common way for this to happen is that they kill the child too, almost as if in one manic rage, moving from one victim to another until its time for them to go as well.

That's not always the case though and for whatever reason the brain blocks out the initial act, maybe its tired or can't process the information so you get in effect in a lull. Then, maybe hours later the reality hits again "Woah, have I done what I think I have?" a little peek or whatever and bam, the original mood returns and the next phase begins. So, its not as much two separate attacks more one single passage with peaks and lows.

Often, the final delay before the act of suicide is used to say sorry to loved ones (hence the placing of the bibles, maybe) and perhaps finally fully acknowledging the impact of what has occurred before it all gets too much once again.

I would have to say that I do find it disturbing (well not disturbing but I'm unable to verbalise it better) that he may well have been watching the PPV and sending messages to friends - I'm sure that they may give a picture of his state of mind or they may have come during a more rational moment.

Also, it seems that the WWE is trying to deflect and blame from the use of steroids - whether this is the right move or not will become clear with the release of the toxicity reports in a fortnight.

So you are saying that he kills his wife, thinks about what he has done which build the frustration more and decides to kill his son.

Well, I liked him a wrestler and I could not belive that he could murder anyone.
I want to tribute him for a death as a wrestler not as a murderer.

Canadian female Pam Winthrope told News 1130 in Canada that Chris Benoit's son had a genetic condition called Fragile X syndrome

...

According to WebMD, "Fragile X Syndrome is a defect of the X chromosome which causes mild mental retardation. The disorder occurs more frequently and severely among males than females. This condition is the leading known familial cause of mental retardation in the United States. Language delays, behavioral problems, autism or autistic-like behavior (including poor eye contact and hand-flapping), enlarged external genitalia (macroorchidism), large or prominent ears, hyperactivity, delayed motor development and/or poor sensory skills are among the wide range of symptoms associated with this disorder."

Quite interesting.
