We were too busy throughout history drinking tea and partaking in a load of morris dancing.

No, but when studied there can be some tediously dull long periods where they may as well have been drinking tea. History was much better when it had some wars in it :)

I took American literature as a module because in it's timeframe there's a lot of interesting stuff to study.
