Indians still crying about Bucknor? Bucknor and the world is out to get Indian cricket, quick someone help them.

and people still arguing about umpires decisions that happened 10 years ago, dudes need a life.

Indians will always hate Bucknor. Bucknor is the one who is sitting at home and crying "why did I do what I did to the Indians?":laugh

I'm sure he was over them when he made the decisions. I guess you haven't read any of his interviews or tried to get a sense of what kind of person he really is.

Bucknor had a fine career as an umpire and any true fan of the game will not judge him by his performance in 1 match.

I wouldn't say that. He's got a load of garbage, it's all verbal diarrhoea.

Yes, but for that one specific post he made valid arguments .

He probably went a little longer then he should have but the man umpired for years before these people came out and said "he is against use and always was". He had a brilliant career and was one of the best umpires ever.

You can bring out all your little statistics - like the Kiwis do when trying to prove silly points - and your little "we dominated a drawn series" (also like Kiwis) but the fact remains you didn't win a series out here and South Africa did and both teams have beaten India at home.

Bond has a test average of 96 against Australia :laugh

:spy What was that?

^^^ Look whose whining? :sarcasm

Not me, just pointing out it happened to both sides yet only one cried about it.

It was strange he assumed you were an Indian just because your views were different from his :p

This really does insult me considering 1) I never suggested he was an Indian and 2) it says under his name the team he supports is Australia.

It doesnt hurt, because its NOT TRUE!!!! You're referring to that Kolkatta test where Hayden and Gilchrist were given out LBW and Shane Warne was given out off that hat trick ball. Hayden was out, Gilchrist's looked a little iffy but in the end, I can understand why the umpire gave that out, and Shane Warne was OUT (the ball didnt hit the ground, it hit the bat)!

We didnt make a furore at SCG because of the umpiring. It was because IT WAS BUCKNOR! We dont like Bucknor, THATS IT! No one can change that! He has given so many wrong ones against us. The 1999 Sachin Tendulkar "shoulder before the wicket" against McGrath was one of the most atrocious ones ever! Did that create a furore? NO! Why did the SCG one do it, did you think?

With Gilchrist it was a outside leg stump, Shane Warne's dismissal was looked at once before he was fired and in those two tests India won almost half of the Australia dismissals had to be LBW, there was one against Mark or Steve Waugh that had to be going atleast a ball's width over the stumps, the umpire having his finger up before the bowler could turn around.

Please, don't try and tell me India didn't make a furore over the umpiring, there was a massive sook and all sorts of rubbish was claimed like "typical bad umpiring decisions in Australia" "it always happens in Australia" blah blah blah, the way India carried on after that test was disgraceful.

Shutting down a Kiwi using their own statistics.

The fact that you remember decisions that go against you is a little sad. Every team has it's fair share of luck, India included. I have a little bit of news, every Umpire has maked shockers just like players make mistake, they are only human. You just look for excuses and you see Bucknor made some odd decision against you and suddenly you can't lose. India always seems to be the side in controversy, look at when they toured South Africa 8 years ago and abandoned the game.

Here this is getting to heated... I think we should stop fighting and just watch good cricket

Mate, this is getting a bit out of hand here. Pretty much everyone here is of the opinion that you are going off-topic and bringing New Zealand and Shane Bond in this thread about "INDIA BEING THE NO.1 TEAM IN TESTS was pretty irrelevant and waaaaaaaaaay off topic even to the naivest of the naive.

You talk about INDIANS (which is a ridiculous generalization you have made post after post) constantly whining about SCG. But well, I believe you are doing quite the same thing here by whining about what happened in Kolkata.

We can have a good discussion if you want to be a part of it though :)

More details please, 8 years ago I did not even know what cricket was :laugh

3rd test Centurion was an un-official test, due to India having a spaz ( nothing new there). Sehwag got banned for a test for over appealing, I think from memory. India refused to accept, I forget the events after, it was a big deal for a few days. The test got played, the match referee wasnt officially appointed so the test didnt count.

Yes. Everyone should put his views forward in a democratic way. You shouldn't force your views on someone. And on the whole, its just some guys having a bit of a go at each other in this thread. Its all cool at the end of the day :)
