I know at the moment a lot of ‘testing’ is taking place, but if you are about to take on the Aussies down under, or you’re going to try and rewrite history and avoid the ‘Black Wash’, then why not share your successes (or failures) here.

Screenshots, scorecards and a run down of the action all welcome, just don’t post random images with no context.

Go well lads & ladies!

Guess I best get us started!

Following on from an indifferent tour of South Africa (completed on C22) Andrew Strauss’ men are next off to Bangladesh, however Strauss himself will not feature.

The ECB have announced that the tour will allow them to ‘see new faces’ and in doing so provide a chance for both Strauss and James Anderson to rest. Anderson is expected to have a specialist review and rehabilitation on a chronic knee problem, while Strauss is resting ahead of a year consisting of an Ashes tour to Australia.

Former England captain Michael Atherton was less than impressed with the decision to leave out Strauss, believing that a side always needs its captain, but it has allowed for the inclusion of another left handed opener, Hampshire’s Michael Carberry. Carberry receives the call up following some good form in last year’s County Championship.

Joining Carberry in the touring party are a few more England new boys; Steven Finn, Ajmal Shahzad, James Tredwell and only just qualified for inclusion, South African born Craig Kieswetter.

The tour begins with a 3 match ODI series, which will then be followed by 2 Test matches. Alistair Cook is set for a return to the one day side as he has been named captain for both formats.

Write up of the 1st ODI in Dhaka to come…

On his first outing as captain, Alistair Cook won the toss and unsurprisingly elected to bat. The surface was expected to offer very little to all of the bowlers.

A slow start, but with impetuous added towards the backend England reached 320 in the 50th over before being all out with 3 balls to spare.

In response, Bangladesh made a decent, albeit slow start, but regular wickets helped stem the flow, eventually all out in the 48th over for 263.

England take a 1-0 lead in the 3 match series, but will no doubt need to stay focused in order to ensure they keep on winning.

2nd ODI coming soon…

Veteran, Hard for batting bowling and fielding and then these sliders

these are for a test match in the sub continent so for the ODI I just increased run rate and reduced swing even more. Players are reduced skill, as per the teams I share

2nd ODI
Dhaka

Bangladesh
S.Shuvo, R.Hossain - IN
M.Mortaza, J.Siddique - OUT

England
J.Tredwell - IN
R.Sidebottom - OUT

Alistair Cook won the toss again, but this time elected to field and it seemed to be a good decision. Bangladesh failed to add any real pressure onto the England bowling attack, losing wickets regularly. James Tredwell on debut picked up 2 wickets as Bangladesh ended on 236 for 9 off their 50 overs

In response England scored quickly, but lost wickets equally as quick. Kevin Pietersen top scored with an aggressive 80 but when he fell to the bowling of Bangladesh captain, Shakib Al Hasan, England’s hopes of taking a 2-0 lead looked slim.

England’s tail hung around for as long as they could, but they eventually lost their final wicket 34 runs shy of their victory target.

With the series level at 1-1 it’s on to the final ODI, in which England need to seriously up their game.

3rd ODI up next…

3rd ODI
Dhaka

A third toss won in a row for Alistair Cook and with the series level at 1-1 he decided that chasing was the way to go.

Stuart Broad missed out after picking up a knock last time out, so in came Ryan Sidebottom, while Amjal Shahzad made his debut, with James Tredwell making way.

Tamim Iqbal batted nicely at the top of the order, but aside from his captain, who also made a half century, he lacked any real support.

Bangladesh finished on 275 for 8 after their 50 overs, Tamim top scoring with 94.

In response England made a much better start, with the opening stand passing 50 for the first time in the series.

Cook also raised the bat for the first time in the series and although Kevin Pietersen fell for a first ball duck, Paul Collingwood and later Eoin Morgan ensured that England got over the line.

T20 captain Collingwood finished with an unbeaten century to his name and Morgan finished the game in style hitting the winning runs with a maximum.

A comfortable and professional chase in the end, helping secure a 2-1 victory for the touring side.

Up next, the 2 match test series.

Good on you for sticking to it mate! I am coming across too many gamebreakers to really do a full tour or anything but would like to if they fix some of the most jarring things! Good luck with this and will pop in to see how the lads get on!

Cheers mate nice one, this was on Xbox as well, so hoping it only gets better from here!

I’ve been doing this since C19, pretty much created my own ‘career mode’. Started in 2008 with England v South Africa with an aim to make it to the 2010 Ashes in Aus. I find following that structure helps me get through, even when it can be painful haha

Started a full series (5 tests, 7 odis and 3 t20s) in India between saf and India. I am playing as saf. First test was fantastic other than a few hiccups (3 AI run-outs out of which 1 was legit of R Sharma).

Here are some highlights. India batted first and started well and fast but after the first two wickets they slowed down a lot. Also a barrage of short balls helped keeping them in check. South Africa was in trouble early but bavuma and klaasen got SAF a sizable lead. India's second innings wasn't much better but they bowled really well and saf again got into a tricky situation before klaasen helped see them through. Wickets we're a mix of catches (lots behind the wickets, one outfield and 2 to 3 infield catches. Some bowled and lbw.
