I would've thought the fact that only IE users complained about the delay made it quite clear to understand (as well as the point that other web-browser users didn't face the issue). Obviously I was wrong.
Don't remember this being mentioned, but the problem is only apparent only when I am logged on. In the logged off status, I can freely roam around the site without any loading delay.
Obviously I made the wiser choice of switching my browser instead!
It could be a rogue advert. Do you use a different skin when logged in to the default?

Yes, I use one of the alternate ones (SA one currently, and the blue PC skin previously), however, the skins don't seem to be making any difference (It didn't for me anyway, I tried several different ones). Also, the delay is only when I navigate to the forum index logged in from another page (i.e : a download thread). So no loading delay if I log in straight to the forum index, but if I want to come back to http://www.planetcricket.org/forums/ as already logged in, then the problem arises (although the lag seems couple of seconds shorter now - lasts about 5-6 seconds). But when surfing the site as a guest (not logged in), the loading is just as fast as it used to be couple of weeks ago, or as fast as it is for me on Firefox or Opera.

I have also been noting a slight delay sometimes when going to the main forum index and I am using the default skin with firefox. But it stops if I press refresh

ok i seem to be having this problem again, its only on the main forum page, im useing IE on XP, at the bottom of the page where it has the URL and loading bar, it seems to stop when something with 'soccergame' at the end of a very long URL
is anyone else haveing problems?

I am not getting an error but it doesn't take an age to be able to actually do anything on the page. Seems the same thing as before to me...

it seems to be going a lot faster now than it was earlyer, i thought it may be my computer but every other site i went on was working fine,

If you're using IE, don't. Get Firefox.

Soccergaming are part of a network of sites PC belong to, and ads are routed through them. The banner ads you see at the top and bottom of the screen are from them. IEPro offers a way to block these in IE, just use it to block things from mediamgr.ugo.com (you can also do it via a hosts file, google that for an explanation on how). If you feel guilty for blocking ads you can always donate to us, or just make sure your next Cricket game purchase is via a PlanetCricket affiliate link (so we get a proportion of the sale).
Obviously we don't mind the idea of making money from the ads (it helps a lot with the costs of running the site) so we will try to find out the cause of the problems, but that's a way of getting around the problems that you are getting.

Firefox or Opera!
IE is just incredibly slow in my experienxe compared to the other two(I alternate but mainly use Opera).

i know i really should use something other than IE but meh, canna be bothered, been useing it for too long now lol
