Should I buy the game?

I have thought of doing this for the AFL games before, it has worked, and I assume that it would work well for a game like Ashes Cricket 2009

URgent advise needed

hey guys

firstly please bare if i have opened the thread at the wrong place as i was confused where to i apologise

now my question is

i just bought ASHES 2009 ps3 and many of u who got it must be knowing its on PAL region if u look at the back of the case

now i have an old SONY TV which only supports NTSC stuff and settings so when i play the game i get a message YOU CANNOT PLAY THE GAME WITH CURRENT VIDEO OUtPUT SETTINGS clearly its the clash of regions......

now i heard that gettin a PAL NTSC converter can get your tv to accept PAL signals as well and the problem would be solved ill be going to get that today

please suggest if its right as i really cannot afford to get a NEW TV and i am sure ill face this problem in eryother game WIL THE CONVERTER WORK...

You don't have a VCR with composite (Yellow, white, red plugs) input do you? Most VCRs are capable of doing what a converter would.

The best option in my view is to use a computer monitor via a VGA cable, because if you are posting here, you more than likely have one.

You have a $600 USD PS3, but you can't afford a new TV (it would be a little small, but it would work) for approx. $95-115?

It is very possible to do what you are suggesting and convert the PAL to NTSC signal, but the graphic performance will be very poor - just get a new TV.

Yes brother cannot really afford because i just got ps3 plus had few other expenses and now have little tight hand

I have always played cricket games, and have been looking forward to this new offering, i would love to hear from as many people as possible-
I have downloaded the xbox 360 demo but im not sure.

I used to own Brian Lara 05 and 07 on the PS2.
Since buying my PS3, this is the 1st cricket game on the PS3, and as a huge cricket lover, I just had to buy it.

The game has a lot of glithces in it though, which means this game will leave you annoyed and angry a lot of the time, but I'm hoping a patch will come out sooner rather than later. Online can be quite a bugger also, as servers are not that great, and people always tend to quit on you.

However, if you meet the write person online, who plays in the right spirit, doesnt quit, and has a good connection, then it is a great experience.

Overall, I would give it a 5.5/10 but if your a cricket lover, you should still get this game.
