OK gentlemen, I was playing around with BLC tonight and changed the slog mode to ON. Suddenly I was hitting the most rediculous sixes out of the stadium with only the regular shot button. In fact, a few of my shots still haven't landed! :o

Can someone tell me what "slog" stands for? could it be: "Sixes Launched Out of the Grounds"?

Does it make the game more "arcade-like"? Why do all my shots travel so far? 30 balls and 15 sixes? Not exactly realistic.

Please enlighten me..........

hi puddles,
slog is the cricketing term for trying to hit every ball very hard...usually in the last overs of odi's in search of quick runs. The same happens in blc when this mode is activated...all normal shots are automatically converted to 6hit{power} shots...this is very risky and not much fun IMO.The reason you are hitting so many sixes is because i think you are playing in easy mode.Play in hard and the number of sixes will decrease and the number of dismissals would increase.Hope you find this helpful.

Cheers.

Thanks Ritwik! I figured it was some super-power mode. I was playing on the 'county' level. I'll give it a try on 'test' and see how long I last.

I will admit that it felt great to hit sixes out into the car park! There must be a number of volkswagons with broken windows out there.

Thanks again. :D

no problem mate...yeah i figured you would be playing "village" or "county" levels.Try "test" and i am sure the number of sixes will come down a bit.

Yep, tried it on test. Played a friendly, unlimited over match, India v. Pakistan. Lucky for me, the match was a draw when (generated innings bowling) my team gave up 724-7. Ouch. Tried another one and was 241/10 losing by nearly 100 runs. It was much tougher to put the ball in the parking area.

Fun though.
