Some serious help needed here people

Okay so I decided I would give them game a go and went and got the PS4 game.
Haven't played a cricket game since EA's 2007 version so no didn't play Don Bradman 14.
I grew up on cricket games since Brian Lara and Shane Warne cricket.
From what I can tell this game is more playable than some of the past games.
Has some obvious bugs and stuff but I have heard about Big Ant being very good with patches and stuff.
It's no FIFA but it's a better cricket game than i grew up with which were frustratingly rubbish sometimes.
Anyway getting to the point.

What the hell do I do at the start ?
What do I download exactly to get stadiums, the right players etc etc ?
I like literally need a step by step nearly.
As someone who used to play all the past cricket games on hard and win, it's embarrassing asking all this. But this game is a lot more detailed than those past ones.

You need to download stadiums,Teams when you download teams automatically your players name will be upgraded and their bats as well.

For downloading teams either go to (get best) option in game,click on it & the rest,or go to the community and download whichever teams you want.

From community you can also download,bats,logos,teams and most importantly stadiums.

I case of stadiums download only those stadiums which you want.For stadiums i would suggest you to take help from:--Don bradman cricket 17 forum/(planet)cricket academy/stadium creation checklist page-1.

I you face any problem you are free to ask me again and again.

so when you download 'get best' is that just the teams ? and not stadiums ?
also what is the general view here. is it best to download the teams from the "The PlanetCricket Don Bradman 17 'Which teams to download' thread
or just use the 'get best' option in game ?

It'll download everything... If on PS4 be wary of the team logos as they can crash the game.

So i go to cricket academy teams get best replace all then i get the following "you already have a local version of GN Sides with this sharing id' would you like to replace your local version with this new version" ?
then it has you already have a current on disk version of david warner how do you like to proceed ?
then do you want to replace identity, visual, skills, stats ?

Do you read instruction 'man' uals? It is what is says if you already have an older version of something then it's asking if you want the older one or the new, simple choice. David Warner, does this matter as men can't change! But with exception of hair and possibly gaining a sense of humour and the ability to get something done without differing it to the next day. Stats et al... Go for it what can go wrong...?

How do you find the right stadium in the stadium creation list like this for example
Brisbane Cricket Ground (Gabba) – Casper
When i search it just comes up id numbers no username like Casper and when i type in Casper for example theres like 3 different options

Once linked, a player, downloaded from academy, will replace of his instances. i.e, if u download Steve Smith from academy, it will replace all instances of him ( Australia, pune etc).
Once unlinked, the downloaded one, saves a copy, leaving the original versions intact. So you'll have different copy of steves smith, in game.

As for stadiums, i recommend to download all three. Then go to edit stadium and check which one you like. You may also edit by your own and save. Once finalised, delete the other 2.

I wish I could down rate this post - the disc wouldn't be very good to play frisbee with.

It's much better use would be to insert it in to a machine and play career mode, with stock teams. It's a video game. An unlicensed video game. It doesn't have to reflect reality to the nth degree, just broadly the rules and mechanics of cricket. Which it does to an, albeit overpriced in in it's current state, acceptable manner.

If it doesn't already have a giant disclaimer, this game needs one, as a lot of the issues seem to arise from downloading 3rd party content.

best parts yet, batsman facing point to bat, fielders turning around at times when trying to catch a ball
keeper having to dive to catch a ball at the stumps. list goes on and on
