I have no sound effects.I do have menu music but when i start a game the sound goes. Please help.

Admin edit: Download the new WCEXP Update to fix your sound and roster problems

yes me too.

It worked for a 10 over match, but many times I tried a 50 over match
sometimes we hear Benauld say hello and welcome to wherever and that is it. Or there is only the crowd noise.

Is there a conflict with previous mega sound patch maybe?

I also have no sound in games involving Canada/Holland/Namibia. I've have done a fresh install but I still get nothing.

yea im running into the same problem and i re-installed the game but the problem still persists....any kind of help will be appreciated!!

Okay

I did a fresh install of cricket 2002 then the world cup patch

Commentry etc sound sound will work for 10 or 20 over matches even if you use the WC2003 manager
But as soon as you select a 50 over match, for get it.
not commentry sound
Richie starts to say where we are but next sound one should here is picth report from Jim, then it goes silent except for ground noise.

A bug here I dare say!!

Look forward to replies.

I dont know how that can happen since I havent changed any commentary files.

Are you all using the full install of Cricket 2002 ?

Yeah, I think it's got something to do with the exe because this is a problem I had on the original wc2003 patch you put on your site but disappeared when I ran the original exe. I reinstalled a fresh version of the game and then loaded the patch and I get no sound at all for limited overs and test matches involving the new teams. When I run off the original exe and play as scotland I get sound no problems. Hope somebody knows what to do...

hmmm.. ok i think I know whats wrong.

I'll add a fix for that soon.

Suprising discovery.
I ran the original cricket2002.exe and played a world cup as Scotland. Apart from displaying the wrong badge and saying the wrong name the team was Holland (the last team I started with). More importantly the game had proper sound. I tried this also with Canada and Namibia and it worked absolutely fine. Therefore the sound problem has to be something to do with the exe. I can only suggest that anyone who wants to play a world cup for the time being as one of the minnows runs their cricket 2002 through the original exe.
Colin

who would want to be a minnow really and play like crap ? ;)

Seriously though, yes the problem is with the exe. I'll put up a fix soon.

thanks!!

Although it is nice to see those bright uniforms of Holland and Canada

Plus has anyone noticed that when Canada's fast bowlers bowel, the ball does not bounce as much, so be careful you don't get bowed trying to hook a short ball.

Just to add my $.02. I've got the thing running and had no audio when playing as Canada. Yes, I really would like to play as Canada sometimes. (insert laughs here)

Also, the lineup of players for the Canadian team is actually the Holland team. Anyone else have this issue? Does this mean that the Holland team is full of Canadians? This is some sort of international incident, for sure.

So how do i play the world cup in the c2k2 "standard" mode as Canada or Holland? Someone said they could do it earlier in this thread.

Much obliged.

Thanks for a great effort.

island boy, for the moment load up cricket 2002 wc2003 patch and select canada. Then go to games; squads; restore teams; save teams.
Quit from the programme and run cricket 2002 again this time from the original exe (in your cricket 2002 folder) Select World Cup as Scotland and you will be playing a world cup as Canada complete with sound although the player names and team name will be Scotland. Hope this helps,
Colin
